Seabourn Calls on Lanai

Seabourn Makes History

Captain Timothy Roberts and Randy Baldemor, Chief Operating Officer for the Hawaii Tourism Authority.

Seabourn made history on Monday, November 6, 2017, when Seabourn Sojourn became the first major cruise ship ever to call on the beautiful island of Lanai, Hawaii.

Our guests received a warm welcome by tourism officials and the local community, who provided each guest with traditional Hawaiian leis as they arrived. To commemorate the special occasion, a traditional plaque exchange ceremony with Hawaii government officials, local dignitaries and tourism executives was held on the ship.

While on the island, guests enjoyed a number of special activities and excursions we arranged for them, including sake tastings, snorkel and sail outings, 4x4 tours, archery and more. One special highlight was "Mimosas with Mike," where guests visited the Mike Carroll Gallery, a local artist-owned gallery where they were able to meet the artist and explore his beautiful paintings. In addition, guests had the opportunity to stroll through the town square of Lanai City and soak in the charming atmosphere and friendliness of the island.

Seabourn Sojourn is scheduled to visit Lanai again in October 2018. We hope you will join us and discover the beauty of the island for yourself.
