Crew Spotlight: Cruise Director Ross Roberts
Meet the heart behind the harmony of your voyage.
In 2026, you can look forward to seeing more Seabourn team member highlights in Club News. We begin this series with Cruise Director Ross Roberts, whose passion for creating extraordinary experiences has made him a guest favorite across the fleet.
Few roles on a luxury cruise are as essential, and as beloved, as that of the Cruise Director. They are the architects of unforgettable moments, the voice that welcomes you each day, and the energy that turns a journey into a celebration.
About Ross
My Seabourn journey started after working as Cruise Director for 10 years with other companies, and that all started from my passion for performing and being onstage from a young age. I always loved making people laugh and this job gives me the opportunity to do so many things I love. Laughter is the best medicine, along with love, food and a future Seabourn cruise booking – the fact that I’ve had the opportunity to make people laugh and make memories is such a blessing.
What is your favorite port?
Well, there are many I could list, however for me, nothing takes my breath away more than the sail into Sydney Harbour. It’s just magical from the moment you enter the harbour, passing the iconic Sydney Opera House and then underneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is something so magical that not every ship gets to do it.
Favorite Seabourn Moment?
There are so many I could choose, but visiting Easter Island as part of the 2023 World Cruise stands out. Never have I visited a port where it was the first visit for all crew and all guests; we all experienced the island for the first time and shared this once-in-a-lifetime experience together, as one!
